I'm an NVQ assessor for the bus and coach industry and i was waiting to board a bus at the bus stop close to windle island petrol station when i noticed your sign board and read with great sadness about George's story. In my job I'm always aware of the dangers of pepole crossing roads and in some cases running for buses. Unlike some areas this road has no crossing for pedestrians to cross this very busy road safely and i myself have had to be very patience and vigiliant in order to cross the road. I hope my pleadge will help your campaign to ensure a safe crossing is installed for pedestrians to cross in safety. Please accept my heart felt sympathy for you and your lovely George. Joe

Although it's not an area corssed regularly by pedestrians, surely this accident in itself justifies the need for a controlled corssing at this intersection? It cannot be too hard to co-ordinate with the light sequence that is currently in place. It is the junction of two very fast roads and so if pedestriansare about, there should be a safe crossing option. Maybe even a bridge would be a a more preferable idea...
